Hildon Natural Waters
Hildon Natural Mineral Water comes from beneath the chalk hills of the beautiful Hampshire countryside in the South of England. The water is wholesome, naturally filtered and crystal-clear. It is free from pollution and has a stable composition, being naturally low in sodium. The water is bottled at the source and whether it is delightfully still or gently sparkling, it has a distinctive, delicious taste.

Hildon's beautiful understated bottle is served at scores of first class hotel and resort properties, is seen on the dais at the Ryder Cup when the event is played in the UK, it graces picnic tables at polo matches, and is allegedly first choice at Buckingham. The chemistry of Hildon features good levels of Calcium and Bicarbonates. According to the company, the Nitrate level is 6 milligrams per liter.

There are strict rules governing the labeling of water as Natural Mineral Water, Spring Water or Bottled Water. Water sold as Natural Mineral Water must originate in an officially recognized spring, be microbiologically wholesome and have been protected from all risk of pollution.

Hildon's Catchment Area

The immediate physical catchment area, which is above the source, is protected from chemicals and is covered with trees and grassland offering a natural safe haven for wildlife. The Home of Hildon Natural Mineral Water remains virtually untouched.

The original Hildon bottle was created in 1988. Its design was based on the classic Bordeaux shape with its distinctive high shoulder, which originated in the early 19th century. Hildon has always had a close association with the wine trade and is the first choice for cleansing the palate at many prestigious wine tastings.

It was a proud day for Hildon in April of 2017 when they received the Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II. The new label on the Hildon bottles now features the Crest bearing the Royal Coat of Arms, prominently front and center.

Plastic Particles Found in Bottled Water?

Be careful, and don’t believe everything you read. A recent study from Orb Media, a non-profit journalism organization, has claimed 93% of bottled water tested has shown “some sign of microplastic contamination.” They don’t tell you that microplastics are found everywhere across the environment in soil, air and water. It also means you have been consuming the tiny particles in anything you ingest. What the study does show, is there is a lack of knowledge of the microplastic contamination. Smaller particles have even been deemed, “probably plastic” because the test is inconclusive.

The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA), British Soft Drink Association (BSDA), Pepsico, Coca Cola, Nestles and Danone have all responded to the study, and stand by the safety of bottled water and adherence with regulations.

The IBWA has stated that Orb Media “has preconceived positions on issues….the study’s “probably plastic” findings are weak at best and reporting it as news is alarmist and not responsible journalism”.

You can read the IBWA’s full response HERE

The World Health Organization plans to launch a review into potential risks of plastic in drinking water, but right now, it seems the jury is out.

China Bottled Water Market Slowing down

According to Mintel, the rapid growth China has experienced over the last decade is slowing down. Their per capita bottled water consumption has grown from 5 liters in 2007, to 20 liters in 2017. Relatively speaking their consumption is still low as compared to Mexico and the US which was 222 liters and 120 liters, respectively. Sales are still increasing however the rate of growth has slipped from 5% in 2015 to 4.2% in 2017.

Water leaves the stomach five minutes after consumption.

Saline water can be desalinated for use as drinking water by going through a process to remove the salt from the water. The cost of desalting sea water in the U.S. has been dropping, however considered to be too expensive to be done on a mass scale.

If all the water in the Great Lakes was spread evenly across the continental U.S., the ground would be covered with almost 10 feet of water.

There are approximately 7,000 gallons of water in each inch of rain.

Highland Spring
Welcome scotch lovers! Highland Spring, located in the Ochil Hills near what today is Gleneagles, Scotland, is back. As with many of the ancient great brands, it is hard to place a precise date on the first time water was drawn from this source. We know for sure that King James IV of Scotland kept a few flasks in his kilt as far back as 1503. And it's likely that the native Celts were enjoying the same water as James, and us today, for thousands of years before that.

The modern Highland Spring's plant was christened by a member of Parliament in 1984. This followed the acquisition of the brand in 1979 by the Altajeer family, and they still oversee the operation today.

Highland Spring runs four massive bottling lines. Their rate of output ranges from 16,000 bottles per hour up to 37,000 per hour, depending on the line and packaging. The plant is in the village of Perthshire, and sits to the west of the north-south motorway that runs the length of Scotland. The hills where the water is drawn cover a large area to the east.

The water is drawn from a protected underground source where no farming, agricultural spraying, building or habitation is permitted within the 2,000 acre (about 8 km) catchment area. The land has been kept free from pesticides and pollution for over 20 years, enabling it to become the first British brand of natural mineral water to achieve organic status for its prestine area.

Three 3" and one 8" stainless steel pipes carry the water from the collection sheds approximately two and one-half miles to the bottling facility, where the water goes into holding tanks. The water is untouched throughout the entire process.

Highland Spring is a very low TDS (total dissolved solids) water at only 136 parts per million. The main feature is 35 milligrams per liter of Calcium, and a slightly alkaline, almost sweet flavored pH of 7.8. The water has 136 parts per million of bicarbonate, and nearly zero nitrates, a very highly desirable chemistry. This glorious chemistry results from a long-term filtration process of fresh rain water through the heather-clad slopes, and down into subterranean aquifers.

The brand is available in 1.0 Liter Glass, and 330ml Glass both still and sparkling. Highland Spring is considered one of the great waters of the world. Recently they have been awarded ‘UK Water Brand of the Year 2017-2018’ for the fourth year in a row.

Additional Sparkling Waters Enter The Playing Field

Everyone and more are getting into the action. We’ve seen Nestle, Pepsi, Coca Cola and LaCroix add to their sparkling water category, but a few lessor known names are entering the field as well, and all with a southern hospitality. Also, the can seems to be the decided favorite container. Montane Sparkling Spring Water available in Original (unflavored), Cucumber Lime, and Meyer Lemon are packaged in Georgia.

From Beer to Bubbles. Austin Specialty, a beer distributor in Austin Texas, has decided to enter the race. Big Swig is also available in 3 flavors, Original, Key Lime and Ruby Red Grapefruit.

Also, coming out of Austin, Texas is Waterloo. With 7 flavors, such as Black Cherry, Grapefruit, Watermelon, Lemon, Lime, Coconut and original.

Ounce Water

At least according to one brand, apparently, it’s not the source of the water that’s really important, but the quantity of ounces consumed. Described as a natural spring water, this bottle allows you to easily keep track of how many ounces you consume. If the goal is to consume 80 ounces a day, you can drink two of the 40 oz bottles, or 4 of the 20 oz size. Okay, and three bottles of 750ml is 76.2 ounces. Is that close enough?

Bottled water has been around since at least prior to the 1800s. Some sources say that spa water in Belgium was bottled for export in 1583. Other sources credit Jackson's Spa in Boston for being the first to offer bottled water for sale in 1767.

Distilled water is not recommended for drinking. Distilled water is really intended to be used in processes where mineral build up can cause problems such as in running machinery, appliances or cleaning.

Spring water is water that has risen from aquifers beneath the surface and absorbed minerals along the way. Mineral water also has absorbed minerals, but it must have a specific percentage of them – 250 parts per million total dissolved solids, according to the US Federal Drug Administration.

Only about one percent of the earth’s water is suitable for drinking water.

Bottled water can be stored indefinitely if kept sealed and out of direct sunlight.

Acqua Panna
Acqua Panna, is now over 450 years old. The spring of Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water, dates back to the Romans, and is considered by some to be Italy's most famous spring water. It comes from the region of Tuscany located 3700 feet high in the serene Apennines Mountains. It's a source located on a vast, unspoiled natural reserve. The source, to the north of Florence, is nestled among beechwood and chestnut forests, and lush meadows on the slopes of Mount Gazzaro in the town of Scarperia.

Legend has it that Romans built the only road from Northern to Southern Italy through Scarperia. This road went past the Acqua Panna spring, which provided deserved refreshment to weary travelers.

In the 1500s, terra cotta pipes were discovered near the source. These pipes were used to transport the natural spring water to the noble Medici Family, the wealthiest, most powerful and influential family in Florence. The Medici's home, called Villa Panna, is located on the land surrounding the source. The cream-colored villa provides the name for the brand, "Panna," which means "cream" in Italian. The lion's head found on the Acqua Panna logo was originally part of the fountain at Villa Panna.

In the 1860s, the first Panna water was manually bottled from a plant built in one of the Medici's farm buildings. Sold in demijohns or fiashi, straw-covered glass flasks now used for Chianti wine, the water was delivered by horse and cart to Florence. In 1927, after World War I, the water was bottled in glass on an industrial scale.

In 1959, San Pellegrino Spa purchased the plant, and in 1970 the brand was re-launched as the first still water sold in plastic bottles in Italy. The Panna plant quickly became one of the most technologically advanced bottling plants in Europe. In 1994 Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water was first exported to the United States. Italian waters are famous for their lightness. The low mineral content of Acqua Panna (less than 150 mg/l) is due to filtration by sandstone which is neutral with regard to mineral dissolution. In just ten to fifteen years, rainwater and runoff seep into the catchment basin, cross the mountain and encounter impenetrable clay, where they rise back up to the surface. Today, Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water is one of the premier imported still waters in fine dining establishments in the United States.

Why Does Water Matter?

The more you learn, the more you’ll know the answer to that question. Even while producing spirits, Brown-Forman, one of the largest American-owned companies in the spirits and wine business, takes the water very seriously. For a supplier like Brown-Forman, water quality is of the upmost importance. It is water that gives Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey its trademark mineral chew, and Finlandia Vodka its crisp and clean, almost effervescent mouthfeel. For Brown-Forman, water is so essential to the success of its spirits that the company employs a fleet of chemists to make sure that the water they use makes the grade. California Moving To Tether Your Caps

A Bill (AB 319) in California is moving closer to requiring all bottle caps be tethered to the bottle by 2020. Environmentalists support the legislation, but a coalition of business and industry groups, including the IBWA, continue to oppose the proposal. It is undecided if this will address only bottled water, or all PET bottles.

Do you live in Sherman Texas?

This is how the water has appeared since Friday, Jan 26. The city reports it’s a result of a water main break. In addition to the color, it’s coming through the pipes with a pungent odor. They have since fixed the problem but are still flushing the lines. This is another incident which lends itself to justifying keeping a quality bottled water on hand.

A New Battle Emerges For Nestle

Maybe not new, but an old battle is resurrected. The State Water Resources Control Board notified Nestle’s on Wednesday, December 20th, that an investigation concluded it doesn’t have proper rights to about three-quarters of the water it withdraws for bottling. Nestle has contended that it inherited rights dating back more than a century to collect water from the forest northeast of Los Angeles. It uses the water in its Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water. The court has ruled that the company could continue water operations while its application to renew the permit was pending.

We’re hoping our readers know the derivation of that title, because this is getting very close. We need to give credit to Richard Hall of Zenith Global for this article, however, we felt it warranted repeating.

Can the color and flavor of a beverage be transmitted online, and tasted by the recipient, who is only drinking water? The explanation may be plausible. The National University of Singapore and the Georgia Institute of Technology are both producing positive results.

The explanation…. “Flavor is mainly how we perceive food or beverages in our mind and it consists of multisensory information including visual, taste, smell among others… Our approach is to augment the beverage flavor experience by overlaying extra sensory stimuli.”

The method is straightforward. The sender dips a sensor into a beverage and sends the data to a recipient who drinks from an electronically connected container, which both stimulates the taste buds and uses LED lights to convey the relevant color signals.

A Rare Find. A Welcome Gift of Nature. It was discovered just over 10 years ago, but God only knows how old Iskilde is. Some geologists believe it dates back to the Ice Age. One thing we do know, it is sensational!

Iskilde means “cold spring” in Danish and, yes, the water is truly cold as it comes out of the ground. But what stuns your palate on your very first taste is its wonderful silky texture and its subtle sweet taste - similar to a glacial water - only with much more body.

These rare qualities are due to the fact that Iskilde is filtered through billions of mineral particles before it is harvested. As it sieves through these layers of mineral matter it is exposed to a huge surface compared to waters that simply penetrate rock through a crevasse. In the process, Iskilde is exposed to many different types of rock, instead of just one variety. During this process the water absorbs a wide range of minerals, many of them rare in nature. It is these many different tastes, balancing each other out, that gives Iskilde its rare sweetness. This is also the reason why the water has more body than glacial waters, which it resembles at first impression.

Another distinguishing characteristic of Iskilde is its extreme purity, with not a trace of human activity to be found. This was no easy feat to achieve according to Jan Bender, the man behind the miracle of Iskilde. “My goal was to transport the experience of drinking Iskilde right at the source, to wherever one decides to open a bottle, explained Mr. Bender. We had to simulate the influence air has on Iskilde's soft and silky texture as it comes from the ground. The only gas we could find that didn’t change the taste, while still restoring the life and silkiness of the water at the spring, was pure oxygen. All this had to be done without introducing a single germ to a single bottle of Iskilde. Even a single germ, is one too many. As a result of the high level of oxygen, very often when a bottle is opened, the water will even take on a milky appearance, which is millions of tiny bubbles of oxygen, which will then float to the surface. The result is a pure silky texture which mimics the experience as if taken directly from the source.

The creation of Iskilde's packaging was made the responsibility of renowned Danish designer, Jesper Mathiesen. The design goal was a bottle as elegant as it is functional. It was very important to maintain focus on the contents, the water, rather than the packaging, explains Bender. Iskilde, pictured here, has taken it’s place among European mineral waters ever since.

In 2016, bottled water overtook the CSD’s (Carbonated Soft Drinks), as the most consumed beverage by volume. Numerous reports from Euromonitor International, Beverage Marketing Corp, Mintel and Nielsen’s all confirm, bottled water is continuing its dominance. Sales are thriving on its healthy, natural and better-for-you attributes. Sparkling, import and premium waters are driving the growth, with sparkling leading with a double-digit growth. Enhanced waters are a close second with an 8% growth rate. In the last year, water sales have reached a new high of $12.7 billion.

Hurricane Irma had other plans for our month of September. We found ourselves working around the clock (literally) as the storm approached on Sept 5th. By that weekend, those that chose to stay, were hunkered down hoping (praying) for the best. At the time, a CAT 5 was heading for us and to call it scary, is an understatement.

As it turned out, we were fortunate to only be hit by a CAT 1. Our good fortune, however was at the expense of Key West and Naples which both received direct hits. The enormous size of the storm is what captured ALL Floridians. The entire State was hit with flooding, loss of power, and downed trees.

Vichy Catalan
The rugged scenery and landscape of Caldes de Malavella in Cataluna, Spain has inspired visitors and health-seekers for millennia. Beneath this uniquely picturesque terrain are mineral water springs, none more famous than the legendaryВ Vichy Catalan. The photo below looks toward the nearby city of Girona.

The Roman legions, ever on the prowl for curative baths and spas, discovered a real winner in the rocky Spanish area south of the Pyrenees near the French border. It was special enough that they dug in, dug down, and built up an entire system of baths and recuperative facilities. The remnants of those ancient spas remain today as a tribute toВ Vichy Catalan,  pictured here, which has been legendary among European mineral waters ever since.

Fast-forward through the centuries to the modern origin of the now internationally famous brand. The first few decades of its modern history begin in 1852, when Doctor Modest Furest y Roca, trained in medicine and surgery at the University of Barcelona, got involved. He was responsible for connecting the most advanced scientific thinking of his time with the mystique surrounding the ancient waters of Caldes de Malavella. In 1880-81 he purchased the property that included the renown thermal springs. Within a few years, his aim of building a "modern" spa establishment became a reality. The waters were declared a public utility by Royal Order in 1883, and their use in bottled form was registered.

In 1990, Grupo Vichy Catalan was created, consisting of the companies S.A.  Vichy Catalan and Malavella S.A, both located in Caldes de Malavella (Girona). Vichy had the distinction of being selected as the water for the XXVth Olympic Games at Barcelona in 1992.

The modern-day bottling plant

Much modernization has transpired since the 19th century, the modern-day bottling plant above, and 100 hundred years testifying to the brand's continuity and pedigree below.

Hurricane Harvey In The News

As Hurricane Harvey has recently unleashed his fury on Texas, hats off to those brands who always step up to offer help and bottled water in time of need. The timing is perfect to look at a video released by “Bottled Water Matters” showing the benefits of bottled water. We read in the news, daily, how water mains are shut down, boil advisories are in effect, lead is flowing through our pipes, and toxins and chemicals are tainting our water supplies. Take two minutes to watch this video. For those of you who are “pro” bottled water, this is a reminder. For those who are “anti” bottled water…take notice! (This video was released before the recent storm)

This Bud’s for you, Texas
Anheuser-Busch has sent three truckloads (155,000 cans) of water to affected areas of Hurricane Harvey. Their Cartersville, Ga. brewery regularly stops production to help during emergencies. MillerCoors has also stepped up, sending another 50,000 cans.

Nestles Waters …NOT to be outdone
Nestles Waters North America said they are actively donating truckloads of bottled water in Texas and Louisiana. So far, they have sent 26 truckloads, carrying 1.1 million bottles of water to aid local residents.

National Park Service Rescinds Bottled
Water Sales Ban

Latest update…. We have previously reported how the US National Park Service tried to eliminate the sale of disposable water bottles, but were unable to determine any benefit from such a ban. The IBWA (International Bottled Water Association) worked tirelessly to change the policy. On August 16, 2017, the NPS rescinded their Policy Memorandum 11-03.

Acting NPS Director Michael T Reynolds stated, “While we will continue to encourage the use of free water bottle filling stations as appropriate, ultimately it should be up to our visitors to decide how best to keep themselves and their families hydrated during a visit to a national park, particularly during hot summer visitation periods.”

The Trend Continues
According to Zion Research, volume and revenue for Global Bottled Water will continue for the foreseeable future. Since 2014, it’s been a steady increase in both numbers, and that trend still continues. Consumers switching to a healthier lifestyle, as well as a fast paced one, look to carry their hydration with them. In the year 2020, revenue is predicted to top 280 billion USD.

Sparkling Water Category Jumps
Along with the increased trend in bottled water, in terms of percentage of increase, Sparkling Water is the victor. Bottled water outsold soda, (CSD- Carbonated Soft Drinks) for the first time last year, and sparkling water has helped accomplish that. Brands such as LaCroix and Talking Rain, have ridden the wave with sales nearly doubling in the last 52 weeks, ending May 27, according to Nielsen Reports. Consumers have opted for a natural transition away from soda and diet soda habits.

Bottled Water Costs More in Washington (State)
Sales of Bottled Water became subject to sales or use tax in the State of Washington, effective August 1, 2017. Residents are now paying more for their healthy alternative.

Philadephia Drinking More Bottled Water
That Wasn’t the intention of city law makers. A 1.5 cents-per-ounce tax which was levied on sweetened beverages, was promoted as a means to generate revenue to fund schools and community programs.  A recent study by market research firm Catalina, however, revealed that the tax seems to have encouraged Philadelphia residents to purchase more bottled water, with bottled water sales increasing 13 percent in the "city core" and nearly 9 percent within "city lines." Meanwhile, carbonated beverage sales have plummeted, falling 55 percent within city limits and failing to reach the projected revenue the city expected to net from the new tax.

14th Global Bottled Water Congress
Zenith’s Global Bottled Water Congress, is a three-day event incorporating, market briefings, conference sessions and a networking dinner during which the 2017 Global Bottled Water Awards will be presented. The Congress will cover a range of key themes for the global bottled water industry. The Congress will be held October 23-25, 2017. For more information, click here>

A recent lawsuit claims Poland Spring water is not what it claims to be. The Food and Drug Administration has a strict definition of what constitutes “spring water” and according to the suit recently filed, not one drop of the billions of gallons of water peddled by Poland Spring fits that definition.

The suit claims that “the famous Poland Spring in Poland Spring, Maine, which defendant’s labels claim is a source of Poland Spring Water, ran dry nearly 50 years ago.”

A spokeswoman for America’s best-selling bottled water brand stated that “Poland Spring is 100 percent spring water. The claims made in the lawsuit are without merit and an obvious attempt to manipulate the legal system for personal gain,” according to the LA Times.

By the time a person feels thirsty, his or her body has lost over 1 percent of its total water amount.

Approximately 85 percent of U.S. residents receive their water from public water facilities. The remaining 15 percent supply their own water from private wells or other sources.

De L’aubier
There is not an unlimited supply of De L'aubier, the way there are with most other waters. This water is harvested from Maple trees, not bottled from a well or aquifer. So, when the demand is great, and the supply is limited, sometimes you must wait until the next harvest. After a brief outage, De L'aubier is back in stock.

The ultimate "green" water, in fact De L'aubier may be the greenest water on earth. De L'aubier is made from the sap of the maple tree, and literally harvested like a fine wine during maple syrup season. Each spring, Quebec maple syrup production generates about one billion liters of sap water. During the process, the sugars are separated from the sap, leaving a full-bodied, silky characteristic water, as a by-product. Until now, this water had been discarded, but is now bottled and dated by harvest date. Because the sap only runs for a short time in early spring, the number of bottles that come to market is limited. Further, adding to the “green” nature of this water, the harvest is done with an equitable partnership with Quebec Organic Maple Farms.

It bears the name of its origin, the sapwood, which is l'aubier in French. It's the living part of the tree that allows the sap to rise from the roots to the branches. It is a refined taste, and not a sugary or maple flavored water.

IBWA members and staff met with members of Congress and their staff on July 19, 2017, to address important bottled water industry issues. One focus was the National Park Service (NPS) policy that allows individual parks to ban the sale of single-serve bottled water in plastic containers. The NPS has failed to provide data that showed the policy was needed and has done nothing to prove that it has been effective since it was implemented in 2011.

Water Bottle In a Hot Car?

Be careful leaving your water bottle in the car! No, not because it may leach harmful toxins. Most water bottles do not contain BPA, which is what that hype is all about. But instead, your water bottle may actually start a fire. Bottles that have been left in bright sunlight can “refract” the light-waves in such a way, that the bottle becomes a magnifying glass, and your seat may become the kindling. Take a look at the brief video, and see for yourself. Now, if you’re lucky the fire might melt the plastic bottle, and extinguish the flame!

San BenedettoВ
San Benedetto mineral Water comes from glaciers in the Dolomites, part of the Italian Alps in North Eastern Italy. After flowing a great distance underground, the water, which was tapped at the surface in ancient times, is now drawn from 1,000 feet below, in an underground basin in the Veneto Plain. This ensures that all its original features are unchanged, and the natural balance of minerals and trace elements that is essential to our well-being remains uncontaminated.

San Benedetto  was arguably the original favorite of the Republic of Venice, in vogue with aristocratic Venetian families during the Renaissance. It became known as theВ San Benedetto Health Water," and was consumed and appreciated for its curative qualities. Without question,  San Benedetto is an elite, low-mineral delicacy that carries a 30 milligram per liter punch of Magnesium. TheВ San Benedetto bottle is attractive, and is available in both still and sparkling versions.

San Benedetto, one of Italy's Finest (and by the way, there are over 600 of them) has based its own growth on technological innovation. Today it has one of the largest bottling plants in the world.

Trouble At The US Open
The second major of the golf season, the US Open, at Erin Hills in Wisconsin, has brought attention to why bottled water may be important. Bacteria E. Coli was discovered in a drinking fountain near the 12th hole, opening day.  The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department discovered the E. coli in a sample of water taken at a hydration station. It is presumed that the E. coli originated from a contaminated well connected to the station, which was immediately closed. In response, the U.S. Golf Association had agreed to supply complimentary bottled water at all drinking stations for the duration of the tournament.

Borsec is situated in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania, and is one of the most renowned curative spas in the subalpine, windless, peat-rich county of Harghita, Romania. It is listed in the country's register of historical monuments. Bottling ofВ Borsec commenced over two hundred years ago, and since modernization in 1992, the facility outputs two million liters per month of its legendary "Regina Apelor Minerale SAВ Borsec " (Mineral Water QueenВ Borsec ).

The curative properties of the water were already known in the 1600s, and for centuries it was transported by carts in wooden casks to be served in the Royal Court in Vienna. It was Emperor Franz Josef who dubbedВ Borsecthe "Queen of Mineral Waters." The pH, although slightly acidic, is near enough to neutral to distinguishВ Borsec from other naturally carbonated waters whose carbonic acid origin tends to create much lower final pH levels in the harvested water. The Calcium is high at 310 milligrams per liter. Magnesium and Bicarbonate - are robust at 97 and 1,800 milligrams respectively. However, the Sodium level is very low for a high mineral water at only 53 milligrams per liter. Traditionally,  Borsec has been helpful for circulatory disease, anaemia, disease of the endocrine glands, nervous disease, rickets, renal disease, diabetes, and even for obesity. It's most popular use today is as a super-healthy drinking water.  Borsec was awarded a GOLD medal at 2004 Berkely Springs, WV USA International Water Tasting event, for carbonated waters.
